The Ultimate Mid-Year Test: Elevating Your International Rugby Viewing Party
The Ultimate Mid-Year Test: Elevating Your International Rugby Viewing Party
July 2026 is serving up some of the most anticipated sporting spectacles of the year on Australian soil. The Wallabies are kicking off an absolute blockbuster home international Test season, and the sports bars are going to be packed to the rafters.
On July 4, 2026, the Wallabies clash with Ireland at the newly configured Allianz Stadium in Sydney. Just one week later, on July 11, 2026, the action heads north to Brisbane’s iconic Suncorp Stadium for a high-stakes battle against France.
If you are planning to celebrate these massive winter sporting events with your corporate clients, punting club, or closest mates, fighting the crowds at a noisy pub is a rookie mistake. The savviest hosts are orchestrating private viewing parties in luxury penthouse suites, corporate boardrooms, and private lounges. Here is how to turn match day into a VIP cultural experience with Miss Honey’s Playground.
Bespoke Corporate Sports Hospitality
Big games deserve big production. When you stream the match from a private venue, you control the atmosphere. Set up the big screen, lay out a premium catering spread, and leave the hosting logistics to the professionals. To transform a standard match screening into a "wow factor" event, you need dedicated match day party hosts who understand high-end hospitality.

Private Rugby Viewing Parties: Frequently Asked Questions
-
More than pour drinks. Our hosts run the hospitality side of the room so you can actually watch the match: keeping the beers cold and the spirits mixed, rotating grazing platters and hot food through both halves, clearing glasses between plays, and keeping the banter going through the slow patches and the scrum resets. The whole point of hosting privately is that the host gets to be a guest, which does not happen if you are the one at the fridge on the hour mark. The same crew work corporate client rooms every week, which we cover in our corporate event entertainment guide.

Any of them, home or away. The home season runs to the end of October: the Wallabies meet South Africa at Optus Stadium in Perth on 27 September, then face the All Blacks in the Bledisloe decider at Accor Stadium in Sydney on 17 October, before heading north to England, Scotland and Wales through November. The full fixture list is published in Rugby Australia’s 2026 Test schedule. We host the same way for State of Origin, NRL and AFL finals and the GC500, and the format is identical to the one in our State of Origin viewing party guide.
-
Yes, and they are some of our favourite bookings. The November Tests against England, Scotland and Wales kick off in the UK evening, which lands in the small hours here, so the format changes completely: a supper spread and a proper coffee service instead of a long afternoon on the beers, hosts who arrive late and stay through to a cooked breakfast, and a room set up for people who still have to function the next day. Tell us the kick-off time when you book and we will build the roster and the food service around it.
-
Hosting is booked by the hour: bikini and lingerie hosts from $140 per hour, topless from $160 per hour and nude from $260 per hour, on a two-hour minimum. Most rugby bookings run three to four hours to cover the build-up, the match and the post-game, and a room of thirty or more usually wants two or three hosts working the floor. Themed wardrobe and breakfast chef service are quoted on top. The full rate card sits on our nude waitresses page, and larger corporate bookings are quoted individually on 0497 641 199.

They handle it. Our hosts run the bar and the food rotation for the whole event: pouring and mixing, restocking ice, plating and circulating platters, clearing as they go and resetting the room at the end. You supply the venue, the screen and the catering; we supply the people who make it run. It is the same hospitality model we run on corporate golf days, just indoors and with a scoreboard.
-
Anywhere you control the room and the screen. Penthouse suites and holiday houses suit mates’ groups, corporate boardrooms and private lounges suit client hospitality, and a hired function room or a chartered boat works if you want the harbour behind the screen. What actually matters is a screen big enough for the back of the room, a bar area the hosts can work from, and a door you control. Rooms and short-stay rentals near the ground sell out fast on Test weekends, so lock the venue in before you lock in the guest list.
-
We are based across Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, so Brisbane and the northern NSW coast are a straightforward drive, and Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Perth are regular travel bookings for the bigger fixtures. Whether your room is near Accor Stadium for the Bledisloe or Suncorp Stadium for a Brisbane Test, we come to your venue rather than the other way around. Travel dates need as much notice as you can give: two to three weeks for a Test weekend, and more through peak season. Get in touch or call 0497 641 199.

At a private residence, holiday house, penthouse or privately hired space, yes. Queensland’s adult entertainment permit regime applies to sexually explicit entertainment at licensed premises, not to a private function at your own address, and the NSW rules are aimed at licensed venues in the same way. If you are booking a pub function room, a club, a bar or a hotel with a liquor licence, check with the venue first, because the obligation sits with them, then tell us what they have agreed to so we can set the wardrobe to match. Topless hosting is hospitality rather than a performance; if you want a stage show as well, that is booked separately.
